MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL ,.~ OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ~:- JUNE 4, 2013 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Kearney, Orlowski, Schumann and Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, Clerk of Council Gallo Director of Safety/Service Thomas, Director of Planning/Development Wenger and Director of ~Iuman Resources Farver Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilman Barker made a motion to amend the agenda to remove the approval of the Council meeting minutes of May 21, 2013. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Agenda amended to remove the approval of the May 21 Sc Council meeting. _ No legislation will be passed under suspension of the rules this evening. :,,~. Council President Jones opened the floor to accept nominations for the appointment of Mark Mahoney's vacant Council at-Large seat. The nominations were as follows: Barker - Duane H. Limpert Kearney -Tim Smith Brossard -Marty Hayes Williams on -Tim Smith Orlowski -Tim Smith Seeing no other nominations, Roll Call was as follows: Orlowski -Tim Smith Brossard -Marty Hayes Williamson -Tim Smith Kearney -Tim Smith Barker -Duane H. Limpert Schumann -Duane H. Limpert Council President Jones re-opened the floor for nominations as no candidate had received the majority of Council votes. The nominations were as follows: ` Gareau clarified that a candidate does not need to be nominated more than once if already '~` nominated.
