„~: MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 29, 1999 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, McKay, <br />Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Limpert <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 6:39 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />LEGISLATION <br />Ordinance No. 99-161 introduced by Mr. O'Grady was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into contracts for the deposit of public monies <br />with the institutions designated by Council as depositories for the active and interim <br />account of the city as amended. Mr. O'Grady moved for adoption; second by Mr. <br />Gareau; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-161 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 99-164 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance to make appropriations for current expenses and other expenditures for the City <br />of North Olmsted for the year ending December 31, 2000. Mr. O'Grady moved for <br />adoption; second by Mr. Gareau; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-164 <br />adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 99-167 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Browning- <br />Ferris Industries of Ohio, Inc. for a two year extension to the contract for the collection <br />and disposal of solid waste and processing of recyclable materials, and declaring an <br />emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by Mr. Nashar; motion passed <br />unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-167 adopted. <br />Ordinance No. 99-168 introduced by Mayor Musial was given its third reading. An <br />ordinance authorizing and directing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the <br />Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA) and the City of North Olmsted <br />providing for a joint operating agreement to provide transit services in accordance with <br />said agreement, and declaring an emergency. Mr. McKay moved for adoption; second by <br />Mr. Miller; motion passed unanimously. Ordinance No. 99-168 adopted. <br />
