MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />;~~, OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 2, 1999 <br />Present: Council President Pro Tem O'Grady, Council Members Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musiai, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council President Saringer <br />Council President Pro Tem O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the meeting of January 19, 1999 were approved as written. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musiai: 1) There is a March 31 deadline for the conversion of all postage meters <br />to electronic models. Our City Hall postage meter includes a new chip and is fully <br />compatible with the requirements and there will be no additional expense. <br />2) The administration is diligently working on the appropriations budget which will be <br />submitted to Council for consideration. <br />3) A steering committee, North Olmsted Vision YZ000 and Beyond, has been formed to <br />study the future development of North Olmsted: <br />• Mr. Thomas O'Grady has been appointed chairperson and Mrs. Rae Spalding will be <br />the alternate chairperson. In the area of short-term planning, subcommittee co- <br />chairmen Mr. Duane Limpert and Dr. Doug Sebring will be responsible for strategic <br />planning in each of the wards and North Olmsted as a whole <br />• Additional members of the committee are: Rev. David L. Van Arsdale, Greg <br />Birney, Mark Boepple, Ralph Bohlmann, Jackie Boss, Steve Calmer, Don Copeland, <br />Mary Creadon, Maryellen Davis, Father Tom Flynn, Jamie Gallagher, Brian Gorris, <br />Claire Hayes, Jayson Herrera, Jennifer Hoch, Jeff Hohenfeld, Axel Hoyer, Patrick <br />Graham, Kim Gray, Tom Jenkins, Randi Jones, Brenda Larochelle, Bob Koenig, <br />Beverly Martindale, Donna Meyers, Dean McKay, Todd Morgan, Todd Musiai, <br />Raymond Puzzitiello, John Ryan, Angelo Skoulis, Rudy Spagnuolo, Thomas <br />Terbrack, John R. Thomas, Cathy Troyer, Michael Zenker, Sr. <br />• The committee is being charged with developing relatively short-term strategic plans <br />up to 2005 and along-range vision plan to year 2025 with the ultimate goal of <br />enabling North Olmsted to become the premier city in the State of Ohio.
