.,~ MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 5, 2000 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Gareau, Limpert, McKay, <br />Miller, Nashar, O'Grady. <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Gareau, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Kasler <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 17, 2000 were approved as written. <br />President Saringer thanked Tiger Cub Pack 52 from Forest School for decorating the <br />Council Chambers Christmas Tree. Also, she congratulated the North Olmsted boys' <br />soccer team for a successful season -and the Olmsted Falls football team for their <br />championship season. <br />Councilman Gareau added thanks to the Deerfield Homeowners' Association for <br />decorating the Christmas Tree in the City Hall lobby. <br />Councilman O'Grady welcomed several North Olmsted High School government <br />students, including his son Peter, who were in the audience. <br />President Saringer announced that she had presented the news media with a news release <br />this evening announcing that resumes will be accepted from interested residents of Ward <br />II for the position of Ward II Council Member in anticipation of Councilman Gareau's <br />resignation sometime in January. Resumes will be accepted until January 15, 2001, and <br />should be submitted to the attention of Council President Saringer at City Hall, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road. Although still remaining a resident of the city, Councilman Gareau <br />is moving out of the ward which he now represents. Council will review the resumes after <br />Mr. Gareau's resignation is official. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) Last Wednesday, he attended the meeting of the mayors and managers <br />of the cities and the various communities that are interested in joining the deregulation <br />
