MIlVUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />FEBRUARY 6, 2001 <br />Present: Council President Saringer, Council Members Dailey (sworn in and took <br />his seat at 8:07 p.m), Kasler, Limpert, McKay, Miller, Nashar, O'Grady <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Senior Assistant Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director <br />Copfer, Clerk of Council Seman <br />Council President Saringer called the meeting to order at 8:03 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />President Saringer announced that Ordinance No. 2001-03 and Resolution No. 2001-07 <br />would be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />President Saringer called for nominations to fill the vacant Council seat for Ward II. <br />Councilman McKay nominated John Dailey and Councilman Limpert nominated Craig <br />Allan. Roll call: Mrs. Kasler said John Dailey; Mr. Limpert said Craig Allan; Mr. <br />McKay said John Dailey; Mr. Miller said John Dailey; Mr. Nashar said John Dailey; Mr. <br />O'Grady said John Dailey. There were five votes for Mr. Dailey and one vote for Mr. <br />Allan. Mr. Dailey was appointed as the Ward II Councilman. <br />The swearing-in ceremony for Mr. Dailey was held with Mr. Dailey being sworn in by <br />Council President Saringer. Councilman Dailey received congratulations from all present <br />and took his seat at 8:07 p.m <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) On March 1, NOMBL, the oldest municipally owned bus system in <br />Ohio, will celebrate its 70 years of dedicated service to the city. Free fares will be <br />offered to passengers on March 1. NOMBL made its first trip from the Cuyahoga County <br />line to Cleveland on March 1, 1931. The receipts for that day totaled $24.65. Today, <br />NOMBL has a 42-coach fleet, carrying 1.3 million passengers a year and operating eight <br />routes under a contract with GCRTA. Aground breaking ceremony for the new Park-n- <br />Ride is planned for March 1. NOMBL buses will depart from the Springvale parking lot <br />at 11 a.m. for the short trip to the location of the Park-n-Ride. <br />2) He attended a ceremony on January 31 at Cleveland State University to honor Mr. <br />Victor Cenzoria who was selected by the Sun Herald as the 2000 CitiSun of the Year for <br />North Olmsted. Mr. Cenzoria, who is 85 years young, is a retired NASA engineer who <br /> <br /> <br />
