<br />MIlVUTES OF THE MEETING OF TTBEE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 19, 2002 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gateau, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller <br />Also Preserrt: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubclko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Semen <br />Absent: Council Members Kesler and Nashar <br />Presidem of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in reciting the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />Councilman Dailey made a motion to amend the agenda by removing Ordinance 2002-16 <br />and 2002-28 from third reading atul placing them back in committee. The motion was <br />seconded by Mr. Limpert and passed unanimously. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of March 5, 2002 were approval as written. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: <br />• Ordinance 2002-31, Ordinance 2002-32, Ordinance 2002-45 and Resolution <br />2002-36 will be passed under suspension of the rules. <br />• A special Council meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on March 27, 2002. The agenda <br />will include Ordinances 2002-34, 2002-38, 2002-43, 2002-17, 2002.127 and a <br />committee report. <br />~~~ <br />Mayor Musial: 1) He has been in contact with Congressman Dennis Kucinich for help in <br />securing the S4 million needed by the city regarding the Crocker/Steams extension. The <br />Congressman testified before the House Appropriations Transportation sub-committee <br />last week about the importance of funding the Crocker/Steams transport ion project in <br />Ohio's 10`~ District. Specifically, Congressman Kucinich's remarks are as follows: "The <br />Crocker/Steams connection, if built, would connect Crocker Road in Westlake and Bay <br />Village with Stearns Road in North Olmsted and Olmsted Township. The connection has <br />been on the books at the County Engineer's office for the last two decaddes or more, but <br />the funding has never been there to do the project. It will be an important norti~south <br />corridor connector for the Cleveland western ~tburbs. The Courrt}+ Engineer has <br />
