MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 21, 2003 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, Miller, McKay, Nashaz <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President of Council O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />President O'Grady asked for a moment of silence in memory of the city's former <br />Recreation Commissioner Michael Dolansky <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of October 7, 2003 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady made the following announcements: Ordinances 2002-171, 2003-11 <br />and 2003-135 will be passed under suspension of the rules; the next Council meeting will <br />be held on Wednesday, November 5, as Tuesday is election day; a public hearing will be <br />held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, for Ordinance 2003-123. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) The library project is roughly a week behind schedule but work is <br />continuing at a good pace considering what an extensive project it is <br />2) The Bradley Road sidewalks project is on schedule and should be completed by the <br />end of the year. <br />3) Regazding the crack seal program, eight streets have been crack sealed and Dover <br />Center should be completed this week. <br />4) The trash collection contract is being advertised, and bid opening is scheduled for the <br />beginning of November. <br />5) The leaf collection letters aze scheduled to be put into tomorrow's mail and should be <br />in the hands of residents by the end of the week. The first collection will begin on <br />October 27. <br />6) He received a petition from Mr. Koehler regazding Claque Road between Brookpazk <br />Road and Lorain Road. The petition lists the issues of Claque Road needing two lanes, <br />new sewers, new sidewalks, and new street lights. Mr. Koehler would like the city to <br />consider prohibiting trucks over 5 tons on Claque Road. Also, he questioned why there <br />isn't another exit between 7 and 9 to eliminate traffic on Claque Road. The Service <br />Director has been in contact with the County Engineer regazding Claque Road, and it has <br />
