MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 16, 2004 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gareau, Kasler, <br />Limpert, McKay <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Members Miller and Nashar <br />President O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8 p,m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of November 3, 2004 were approved as written. The <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of November 8, 2004 were approved as written. <br />President O'Grady announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2004-175; first reading, <br />Resolutions 2004-177, 2004-178, 2004-180. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) November 4, he attended a Salute to Veterans ceremony which was <br />organized by a group of North Olmsted High School SITES students. <br />2) In the evening of November 4, he attended an open house at the new offices of E. R. <br />Warner, an engineering firm which has done some work for North Olmsted in the <br />environmental area. <br />3) On Saturday evening, November 6, 2004, he attended the presentation of "Blithe <br />Spirit" which was sponsored by the Cultural Activities Commission. The production was <br />extremely entertaining and very professionally done. <br />4) On Sunday morning, November 7, he participated in the ribbon cutting activities <br />celebrating the grand opening of Dick's sporting goods at Great Northern Westfield Mall. <br />5) On Thursday, November 11, the City of North Olmsted sponsored a Veterans' Day <br />ceremony in front of Old Town Hall. Participants included the North Olmsted High <br />School Marching Band, the North Olmsted VFW Post 7647, the Rocky River American <br />Legion Post 451, Police Officer Bujnovsky who provided a bagpipe presentation of <br />Amazing Grace, veterans President of Council Thomas O'Grady, Ward IV Councilman <br />Dean McKay and Commander of North Olmsted VFW Post 7647 Art Stone who <br />.~ <br />', presented remarks in honor of the past and present efforts of our veterans. <br />
