MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 3, 2004 <br />Present: President of Council O'Grady, Council Members Dailey, Gazeau, Limpert, <br />McKay, Miller, Nashar <br />Also Present: Mayor Musial, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />Absent: Council Member Kasler <br />President O'Grady called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilman Gazeau made a motion to amend the agenda to add Resolution 2004-26 <br />under second reading; Resolution 2004-44 and Ordinance 2004-45 under first reading. <br />The motion was seconded by Councilman Nashaz and passed unanimously. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of February 12, 2004 were approved as <br />written. The minutes of the Council meeting of February 17, 2004 were approved as <br />written. <br />President O'Grady announced the following pieces of legislation would be considered for <br />passage under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2004-23 and <br />Resolution 2004-26; first reading, Resolutions 2004-32, 2004-37, 2004-44 and Ordinance <br />2004-45. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Musial: 1) He was pleased to attend a blue and gold banquet on February 19 for <br />the St. Richazd's Cub Scout Pack 332. He makes it a point to attend these events because <br />the Boy Scout program is one of the best we have in this country to instill in the young <br />men the values and the virtues associated with the Scout movement. <br />2) Council budget hearings have been held throughout the last two weeks. The <br />administration has tried, with the fine assistance of Finance Director Copfer, to provide <br />Council with as much detail and as much background material as possible to help them <br />make the appropriate decisions. <br />3) On February 25, North Olmsted hosted acity/county external maintenance grant <br />program meeting, which was organized through Don Copeland. The purpose was to <br />discuss how the external maintenance grants program operated. A lazge number of people <br />attended and generated a lot of interest. This program should serve North Olmsted very <br />
