.. <br />t, <br />MINUTES 4F THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />SEPTEMBER 6, 205 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, Miller, <br />Nashar, Ryan, Tallon. Councilman Orlowski took his seat at 8:11 p.m. <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of August 16, 2005 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the special Council meeting of August 30, 2005 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage under <br />suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinances 2005-118, 2005-119, 2005-120, 2005-121; <br />first reading, Ordinance 2005-134, Resolution 2005-135, Ordinance 2005-137, Resolution <br />2005-138 <br />President Kennedy opened the floor for nominations to fill the vacant Ward IV Council seat. <br />Councilman Nashar nominated Larry Orlowski for the Ward IV Council seat. There were no <br />further nominations. Roll call: Mr. Nashar said Larry Orlowski; Mr. Tallon said Larry <br />Orlowski; Mr. Barker said Larry Orlowski; Mr. Miller said Larry Orlowski; Mr. Gareau said <br />Larry Orlowski; Mr. Ryan said Larry Orlowski. Mr. Orlowski was unanimously appointed <br />Councilman of Ward IV. <br />Mr. Orlowski came forward to take the oath of office as administered by Law Director James <br />Dubelko. Mr. Orlowski was congratulated and recognized by members of Council, the <br />administration and all who were present. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) As the Mayor wished to make comments on the rain event of August 20, <br />2005, he submitted the following written report to be included in the record: <br />Military Support Initiative: <br />Our program of asking our citizens to donate new clothing in the form of t-shirts or gym shorts / <br />walking shorts for the use of our military people who are deployed for extended periods, or to <br />
