MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 7, 2445 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Gazeau, McKay, Miller, <br />Nashaz, Talton. Councilman Ryan was sworn-in and took his seat at <br />8:10 p.m., Councilman Barker was sworn-in and took his seat at 8:14 p.m. <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance as led by the 2005 Scout Honorary Officials. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of May 17, 2005 were approved as written. The <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of May 23, 2005 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Ordinance 2005-86; first reading, <br />Resolution 2005-93. <br />President Kennedy asked for nominations for the Wazd I Council vacancy. Councilman <br />Miller nominated Mr. Daniel Ryan to fill the vacancy for the Ward I Council seat. With <br />no further nominations, the roll call was taken and Mr. Ryan was approved unanimously. <br />Mr. Ryan came forward and was sworn-in as the Councilman of Ward I by Councilman <br />Miller. Councilman Ryan was congratulated by all present and took his seat at 8:10 p.m. <br />President Kennedy asked for nominations for the Ward II Council vacancy. Councilman <br />Gareau nominated Mr. Paul Barker to fill the vacancy for the Ward II Council seat. With <br />no further nominations, the roll call was taken and Mr. Barker was approved <br />unanimously. <br />Mr. Barker came forward and was sworn-in as the Councilman of Ward II by Law <br />Director Dubelko. Councilman Barker was congratulated by all present and took his seat <br />at 8:14 p.m. <br />Councilman Ryan commented he felt fortunate that he was able to raise his family here in <br />North Olmsted over the last 30 years. He deeply appreciates all of the benefits this city <br />gave to his family as his children have gone on to become successful. His strongest <br />desire is that every family in the city would have the same opportunity that his children <br />
