MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 21, 2006 <br />Present: President of Council Kennedy, Council Members Barker, Gareau, <br />Dailey Jones, Miller, Orlowski, Ryan, Tallon <br />Also Present: Mayor O'Grady, Law Director Dubelko, Finance Director Copfer, Clerk of <br />Council Seman <br /> <br />President Kennedy called the meeting to order at 8:10 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 <br />Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance as led by Eagle Scout Eric Moizuk. <br />The minutes of the Council meeting of November 8, 2006 were approved as written. <br />President Kennedy announced the following legislation would be considered for passage <br />under suspension of the rules: second reading, Resolution 2006-181 and Ordinance <br />2006-185; first reading, Resolutions 2006-189 and 2006-196. <br />President Kennedy announced the following public hearings: 7 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />November 28, for 2006-162; 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, November 28, for 2006-164. <br />SPECIAL LEGISLATION <br />Resolution No. 2006-189 was introduced and placed on first reading by Councilman <br />Gareau on behalf of the entire Council and the Mayor. A resolution commending the <br />achievement by Eric Joseph Kamis Moizuk of the Eagle Scout Award in Boy Scouting. <br />Councilman Gareau moved for suspension of the rules requiring three readings and <br />committee review. The motion was seconded by Councilman Barker and passed <br />unanimously. Councilman Gareau moved for adoption. The motion was seconded by <br />Councilman Barker and passed unanimously. Resolution No. 2006-189 adopted. <br />President Kennedy invited Eric to come forward, and the Resolution was read in its <br />entirety. Eagle Scout Eric Moizuk was congratulated by City Council, members of the <br />administration and all present. <br />REPS <br />Mayor O'Grady: 1) Congratulations to Eric and all Scouts for all the good things they do <br />for our community. Special thanks to the Scout leaders, and to parents who allow their <br />children to participate in such a worthy organization. <br />
