,, <br /> s,~.. <br />.' ~- <br />3 <br />a <br />gy Mrs. Petrigac <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 80 - 76 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE CONSULTING FIRM <br />OF DALTON-DALTON- NEWPORT FOR THE PREPARATION <br />OF A SEWER SYSTEM EVALUATION SURVEY FOR THE <br />NORTH OLMSTED AND OLMSTED TOWNSHIP PORTIONS <br />OF THE NORTH OLMSTED FACILITY PLAN AREA. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has encountered numerous problems <br />regarding inflow and infiltration with. respect to sanitary sewer lines, and <br />WHEREAS, the City has determined that the collection system is subject <br />to excessive infiltration and inflow in the North Olmsted Facility Planning <br />Area, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to apply for Federal-aid <br />through the Environmental Protection Agency, and <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary for the City to prepare a Sewer System <br />Evaluation Survey, which must be prepared by an engineering firm, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Council and <br />the services of Dalton-Dalton-Newport to prepare said <br />not to exceed Three Hundred Sixty-Two Thousand Dollars <br />Seventy-Five Percent (75%) is to be reimbursed through <br />Environmental Protection Agency, Four Thousand Dollars <br />Board of County Commissioners, and Eighty-Six Thousand <br />($86,500.00) from the City of North Olmsted. <br />~.. <br />,,..., <br />Administration to hire <br />sewer survey at a cost <br />($362,000.00), of which <br />a grant from the U. S. <br />($4000.00) from the <br />Five Hundred Dollars <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with the firm of Dalton-Dalton-Newport for the preparation <br />of a Sewer System Evaluation Survey, a copy of which agreement is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force <br />from and after t e earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence Campbell, Clerk Council <br />RO ~ / j - ~f o <br />l,~rc.~ <br />ert W.
