?- . , . <br />{k <br />CTTY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 98-08 <br />By: Eutire City Council <br />AN ORDIlYANCE AUTHORVIING AND DIRECTING DON <br />COPELAND, DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN <br />RESOURCES, TO MAKE APPLICAI`YON ON BEHALF OF T'HE <br />C1TY OF NOItTH OLMSTED FOR COAIlM'UNri'Y <br />DEVELOPMENT BL4CK GRANT FLTNDS FUR THE FLSCAL <br />YEAR 1998 FOR A PRUJECT TTI'LED AMMERiCANS WITH <br />DISABII.TI'!'ES ACT COMPIL.iANCE FOR THE CTTY 4F Nt?RTH <br />OLMSTED'S SPRINGVALE COUNTRY CLUB AND BALLROOM, <br />AND DEC'LARING AN EMERGENCY <br />W$EREAS, thi.s Council, after a public hearing conducted on January 08, 1998, has <br />deXermined that the City of North Olmsted qualifies for Commimity Development Block <br />Grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the City has designated a project activity, named the Americans With <br />Disabilities Act Compliance for the Cily of North Olmsted's Spriagvate Country C1ub and <br />Ballroom, as being eligible for funding through the Comnuaity Development Black Gzant <br />program fimded by the United States Departrment of Housing and Urban D:velopment and <br />administered for the City of North Olmsted by the Ctiiyahoga County Board of <br />Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, said project consists of applyiag for up to $300,000 in C.D.B.G. fund'mg for <br />FY 1998; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmstel will provide all other fimdiag and leverage <br />requiremeats for this project and for the C.D.B.G. application w}iiich total an estiimated <br />projeet cost of $285,000 ; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this project is to provide A.D.A. compliant accessi'oility to <br />these £acilities and to provide accessi'ble restrooms; and <br />WHEREAS, this property will be renovated to provide accessbifity to older persons and <br />persons with disabilities which will provide a direct benefit to low and moderate income <br />persons; and
