<br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />Ordinance No. 90-122 <br />B y : Councilman McKay <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 917.02, 917.04, AND 917.05 <br />OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO. <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />SECTION 1: Section 917.02 (f) of the Codified Ordiances of <br />the City of North Olmsted, Ohio which now reads as follows: <br />"(f) Supplementary Limitations. No discharger shall <br />discharge wastewater containing concentrations of the follow- <br />ing enumerated materials, exceeding the following values: <br />Materiaf <br />ArsenicCadmium <br />Copper <br />Cyanide <br />Total cyanide <br />Free cyanide <br />Iron <br />Lead <br />Mercury <br />Nickel <br />Nickel chromium <br />Phenols <br />Silver <br />Total cadmium <br />Trivalent chromium <br />Hexavalent chromium <br />Zinc <br />Concentration (ppm) <br />* <br />4 <br />1 <br />1 <br />* <br />* <br />15 <br />0.5 <br />? <br />* <br />3 <br />10 <br />* <br />* <br />1 <br />2 <br />2 <br />* Values may be established once sufficient data is available. <br />Mass limitations on dischargers are intended to prevent the <br />use of dilution to meet the pretreatment standards or requirements <br />of the Codified Ordinances, or in other cases where the imposit- <br />ion of mass limitations is deemed apprQpriate by the City. <br />No statement contained in the Codified Ordinances shall <br />be construed as prohibiting any special agreement or arrange- <br />ment between the City and any person whereby an industrial <br />waste of unusual strength or character may be admitted to <br />the sewage disposal works, either before or after pretreatment, <br />provided there is no impairment of the functioning of the <br />sewage disposal works by reason of the admission of such wastes <br />and no extra costs are incurred by the City without recompense <br />by such person. Payment for extra strength wastewater or waste- <br />water of unusual character shall be in proportion to cost and <br />consistent with Chapter 915. (Ord. 84-40. Passed 4-26-84). <br />-1-
