<br />ORDINANCE NO. 92-176

<br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND FIXING THE
<br />COMPENSATION FOR THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH
<br />OLMSTED FOR THE TERM OF OFFICE COMMENCING
<br />JANUARY 1, 1994 AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1997, AND
<br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED.
<br />WHEREAS, this council has reviewed the statistical data provided to it by the Mayor
<br />relative to the inequity of the current salary of the Mayor; and
<br />WHEREAS, in order to bring the salary of the Mayor to comparable levels of other like
<br />and similar cities, this council hereby establishes the salary schedule set forth in Section 1
<br />hereof; and
<br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, at Article IV, Section 6, requires
<br />the Council to fix the compensation for all elected officials at least thirty (30) days prior to the
<br />filing date of nominating petitions for terms beginning on the next succeeding lst day of
<br />January; and
<br />WHEREAS, the date for filing nominating petitions for elected officials in the city of
<br />North Olmsted, is March 5, 1993; and
<br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish the compensation for all elected
<br />officials in compliance with the Charter requirements.
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO:
<br />SECTION 1: That the salary to be paid to the Mayor for the term commencing January
<br />1, 1994 and ending December 31, 1997, shall be as follows:
<br />Effective January 1, 1994 through December 31, 1994 -$61, 341.00
<br />Effective January 1, 1995 through December 31, 1995 -$64,101.00
<br />Effective January l, 1996 through December 31, 1996 -$66,986.00
<br />Effective January 1, 1997 through December 31, 1997 -$70,000.00
<br />SECTION 2: That in addition to the salary specified in Section 1 hereof, the City of
<br />North Olmsted, shall provide Health Care coverage in an amount and to the extent that such
<br />coverage is provided to non-bargaining unit administrative employees.
