?., <br />.. ?"' <br /> <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 78- 82 <br />BY: Mr. Wilamosky <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION AND COMPOSITION <br />OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT: SALARIES AND VARIOUS BENEFITS <br />FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT: VARIOUS RULES, <br />REGULATIONS AND EMPLOYEE RIGHTS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, <br />AS AMENDED. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: The Organization Chart for the Police Department of the City of <br />North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the Police Department and the personnel <br />set forth in the Organization Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police who shall <br />be in charge of the entire Police Department. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of one (1) secretary, <br />two (2) clerks, and other civilian non-police personnel as are authorized, from <br />time to time, by Council of the City of Ncrth Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which shall consist of: Two (2) Captains, Three (3) Lieutenants, Four (4) <br />Sergeants, between twenty-eight (28) and thirty-four (34) Patrolmen, twenty-five (25) <br />Auxiliary Police, four (4) Dispatchers, one (1) of which to be designated "Senior <br />Dispatcher", eighteen (18) School Guards, and one (I) Police Matron, part-time. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau consisting <br />of five (5) of the Police Personnel mentioned in Section 1-C above. One (1) member <br />of the Detective Bureau shall serve as the Juvenile Officer of the North Olmsted <br />Police Department. <br />E. The Police Department as constituted herein shall be classified by the <br />Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That Council does hereby establish salaries for the various <br />members of the Police Department covering the years of 1978 and 1979 and the same <br />shall be as follows: <br />A. Effective January 1, 1978, the various salaries shall be fixed as follows: <br />Chief of Police <br />Captains <br />Lieutenants <br />Sergeants <br />Patrolmen - First Year <br />Patrolmen - Second Year <br />Patrolmen - After Second Year <br />School Guards <br />Auxiliary Police <br />Police Matron <br />Full Time Police Officer Working for <br />the City of North Olmsted during <br />off-duty hours <br />Dispatchers (Civilian part-time) <br />Dispatchers (Civilian full-time) <br />Senior Dispatcher (full-time) <br />$24,884.00 Annually <br />$22,013.00 Annually <br />$20,012.00 Annually <br />$18,193.00 Annually <br />$13,848.00 Annually <br />$15,129.00 Annually <br />$16,539.00 Annually <br />$ 2.65 Per Hour <br />$2.15 to $2.68 Per Hour <br />$1.35 to $2.64 Per Hour <br />$3.20 to $7.00 Per Hour <br />$ 3.30 Per Hour <br />$ 6,890.00 Annually <br />$ 7,090.00 Annually
