SJI • <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 921.01 OF <br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES 0F THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED ENTITLED "OPENING FIRE <br />HYDRANT; EQUIPMENT, PERMIT, DEPOSIT AND <br />REFUND" OF CHAPTER 921 ENTITLED "WATER <br />AND FIRE HYDRANTS". <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 921.01 of the Codified Ordinances <br />entitle Opening Fire Hydrant; Equipment, Permit, Deposit and <br />Refund" of Chapter 921 entitled "Water and Fire Hydrants" which <br />now reads as follows: <br />"921.01 OPENING FIRE HYDRANT: EQUIPMENT, PERMIT, DEPOSIT <br />AND REFUND. <br />No person shall open or connect with a fire hydrant <br />for the purpose of obtaining water therefrom, without <br />first obtaining a permit to make such opening or <br />connection from the Service Director. <br />Equipment and wrenches furnished by the City shall <br />be used in making such opening or connection and shall be <br />returned promptly to the City. <br />Upon obtaining a permit to open or connect to a <br />fire hydrant, the applicant for such permit shall <br />deposit with the Service Director twenty-five ($25.00). <br />Any opening or connection shall not continue for a <br />period longer than thirty day, unless authorized by the <br />Service Director. <br />When the opening to a fire hydrant is closed ox the <br />connection discontinued wi,thin thirty days, the City <br />shall refund the sum of twenty dollars (.$20.00) to the <br />applicant and retain five dollars ($5.00) of the deposit <br />for water and eauipment used. If the opening or connection <br />is not closed or discontinued within the thirty day period <br />and no extension thereof has been authorized by the <br />Service Director, the deposit shall be declared forfeited <br />and shall be retained by the City." <br />shall be amended and as amended shall read as follows: <br />"921.01 OPENING FTRE HYDRANT; EQUIPMENT, PERMIT, DEPOSIT <br />AND REFUND. <br />No person shall open or connect with a fire hydrant <br />for the purpose of obtaining water therefram, without <br />first obtaining a permit to make such opening or <br />connection from the Service Director. <br />,..... _ .,..e.?.w?r-
