MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 18, 2014 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, <br />Kearney, Limpert and Schumann <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Clerk of Council Gallo and Director of Safety /Service Glauner, Director <br />of Planning /Development Wenger and Director of Human Resources <br />Farver <br />Absent: Council Member Williamson <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of November 5, 2014 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: First Reading — Resolutions 2014 -79, 2014 -83 and 2014 -84. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• Tickets are now on sale for the New Year's Eve Bicentennial Bash at Springvale <br />Ballroom on December 31, 2014 which includes dinner, drinks and entertainment, <br />Tickets are $75 each and are on sate now at www.celebratenortholmsted.com. <br />• North Ohnsted's Holiday Market and Tree Lighting will be held on December 1, <br />2015 at North Olmsted Park Community Cabin and Senior Center from 6:00 p.m. <br />until 8:30 p.m. The event will feature the North Olmsted High School Brass <br />Ensemble and A Cappella Choir and Chestnut's Orange and Black Choir. Come <br />out for arts and crafts, sweet treats, sled dogs, bonfire, Santa and more. <br />• Sunday's Princess Ball was a huge success. There were over 180 guests in <br />attendance. <br />• The VFW will be holding the annual Police Officer and Firefighter of the Year <br />event tomorrow, November 19, 2015 at the Community Cabin at 5:30 p.m. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• The arbitration involving the termination of Brian Bielozer has been rescheduled <br />for December 16, 2015. Since the last Council meeting, many days have been <br />spent concerning the matter of Brian Bielozer vs. the City of North Olmsted in the <br />United States Federal District Court for depositions. <br />• Former Director of Law, Jim Dubelko, forwarded Gareau several Council meeting <br />minutes from the year 1910 from which Gareau read several excerpts. <br />
