CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2015 — 6 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING CONSENT AND COOPERATION WITH <br />THE STATE OF OHIO, DIRECTOR OF TRANSPORTATION FOR THE <br />PROJECT KNOWN AS THE MINOR WIDENING OF GREA T NORTHERN <br />BLVD (SR 252) AT THE IR -480 WESTBOUND ENTRANCE AND EXIT <br />RAMPS AND RESURFACING OF GREAT NORTHERN BLVD (SR 252) <br />INCLUDING MEDIAN WORK, FROM IR -480 TO BROOKPARK ROAD (SR- <br />17) IN THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted in 2015, in cooperation with the State of Ohio, <br />Department of Transportation, will undertake the repair / reconstruction of Great Northern Blvd. <br />from IR -480 to Brookpark Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted will contribute ten percent (10 %) of the cost of <br />the improvement project; and <br />WHEREAS, legislation indicating "municipal cooperation" is required pursuant to R.C. <br />§5521.01. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: Consent Statement: Being in the public interest, the City of North Olmsted <br />gives consent to the Director of Transportation to complete the project described in the title of <br />this legislation. <br />SECTION 2: Cooperation Statement: The City of North Olmsted shall cooperate with <br />the Director of Transportation as follows: the City of North Olmsted agrees to assume and <br />contribute ten percent (10 %) of the cost and expense of the improvement determined to be <br />eligible for Federal -aid funds set aside by the Director of Transportation for the financing of this <br />improvement from funds allocated by the Federal Highway Administration, United States <br />Department of Transportation. The City of North Olmsted further agrees to assume and <br />contribute one hundred percent (100 %) of the cost of any work included in the construction <br />contract, at the request of the City of North Olmsted, which is determined by the Director not to <br />be a part of or made necessary by the improvement. <br />SECTION 3: Utilities and Right -of -Way Statement: The City of North Olmsted agrees <br />that all right -of -way required for the described project will be acquired and /or made available in <br />accordance with the current State and Federal regulations.
