MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JANUARY 3, 2017 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Barker, Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Human Resources Director, Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Clerk of Council Massarolo, Assistant Law Director O'Malley and Director of Planning & Development Wenger Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council meeting minutes of December 20, 2016 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading — Resolution 2016-142. A motion was made by Councilman Barker to remove Ordinance 2017-4 and also the item to adjourn into executive session to discuss pending litigation from the agenda. The motion was seconded by Councilman Schumann and passed unanimously. Ordinance 2017-4 and the item to adjourn into executive session removed from agenda by a vote of 7-0. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • No Report. Assistant Director of Law O'Malley: • No Report. Finance Director Copfer: • Mayor Kennedy, Law Director Gareau and Finance Director Copfer went to Moody's in Chicago and did a rating presentation on December 21't and 22nd. The City hopes to hear something this week. Councilman Barker, Chairman of the Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health & Welfare Committee met on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Present were committee members Barker, Williamson and Brossard; Council members Schumann and Hemann; Mayor Kennedy, Assistant Law Director O'Malley and Planning & Development Director Wenger.
