MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 3, 2017 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, <br />Limpert, Rahm, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Law <br />Gareau, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and Clerk of Council <br />Massarolo <br />Absent: None <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilwoman Williamson made a motion to amend the agenda to remove Ordinance <br />2017-64. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kearney and passed unanimously. <br />Ordinance 2017-64 removed by a vote of 7-0. <br />The Council meeting minutes of September 19, 2017 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading — Resolution 2017-65; First Reading — Ordinance 2017-69. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• The Civil Commission certified the Police Chief results and Sargent Bob Wagner <br />will become Chief Wagner. Congratulations to Chief Wagner and his family. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• No report, but a follow up comment to what the Mayor said. This is the first time <br />we have had an open competitive examination process for police. We had a <br />number of applicants and the process went very smoothly and we ended with the <br />best candidate possible for the position. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• The annual information report filing was completed on Wednesday, September <br />27. This provides investors with additional required information specific to the <br />debt convent that is required when we borrow money and goes along with our <br />annual financial statement. <br />Councilman Rahm Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: <br />
