MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />OCTOBER 17, 2017 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Hemann, Kearney, <br />Limpert, Rahm, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Human <br />Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner, Director of Law <br />Gareau, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and Clerk of Council <br />Massarolo <br />Absent: None <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The Council meeting minutes of October 3, 2017 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading — Ordinance 2017-70 and Resolution 2017-71. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• No report. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• No report. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• No report. <br />Councilman Kearney Chairman of the Finance Committee: <br />The Finance Committee met on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 7:15 p.m. Present were <br />committee members Kearney and Rahm; Council members Brossard, Hemann and <br />Williamson; Council President Jones; Mayor Kennedy, Director of Finance Copfer, <br />Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Safety & Service Glauner and guests. <br />• Discussed first was Ordinance 2017-66. A Resolution approving of and <br />authorizing the Mayor to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with the <br />International Association of Firefighters, Local 1267, AFL-CIO for the City's <br />Firefighters, for the period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2020. This will <br />be a three year deal with some small language changes. The deal will provide for <br />
