? <br />BY: Mr. h1c <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82-96 <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE GREAT NORTHERN <br />SHOPPING CENTER TO INSTALL STREET ILLUMINATION <br />ON COUNTRY CLUB BLVD. FROM APPROXIMATELY 700 <br />FEET WEST, TO APPROXIMATELY 1600 FEET WEST OF <br />THAT POINT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Great Northern Shopping Center has agreed to install street <br />illumination on Country Club Boulevard from approximately 700 feet west <br />of Great Northern Blvd, to approximately 1600 feet west of that point, and <br />WHEREAS, The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company will prepare <br />installation plans and specifications for the installation of approximately <br />eight (8) luminaires, and <br />WHEREAS, the safety of the public will be improved by the installation <br />of this street illumination. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter into <br />an agreement with the Great Northern Shopping Center allowing them to have <br />installed approximately eight (8) luminaires in the right of way of Country <br />Club Blvd. and to pay the cost of installation, and further to pay the annual <br />Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company charges for power and maintenance for <br />twenty-four (24) months, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made <br />a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare and for the further reason that the street illumination will <br />provide a safer environment for motorists and pedestrians, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: a <br />ATTEST: <br />t <br />orence E.
