MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />DECEMBER 3, 2019 <br />Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, <br />Kearney, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson <br />Also Present: Director of Finance Copfer, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Safety & <br />Service Glauner, Director of Planning & Development Lieber and Clerk of <br />Council Massarolo <br />Absent: Mayor Kennedy and Director of Human Resources Gallo <br />Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, <br />5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules <br />this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2019-100 and Resolution 2019-101. <br />Council President Jones announced the Mayor's mother had passed away. She said the <br />thoughts and prayers of Council and the community are with the Mayor and his family. <br />Council President Jones presented proclamations on behalf of the Mayor to the Officers <br />of the Year. She recognized Frank Selig as the Firefighter of the Year. While he was <br />unable to attend the meeting, Council President Jones thanked him for his years of <br />service to the community and congratulated him on the honor. Sargent David Woehrman <br />was honored as Police Officer of the Year. Mr. Woehrman thanked everyone for the <br />honor. Council President Jones honored Chief Wagner for also being named Officer of <br />the Year. Chief Wagner said he was truly humbled by this. He said he is just a figurehead <br />and it is everyone around him that is deserving of this honor. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Kennedy: <br />• No Report. <br />Director of Law Gareau: <br />• He said in the past couple of weeks he has had the unfortunate experience to see <br />some people he grew up with pass away. He said he has known Kathy Kennedy <br />since he was a baby. He said he has also been around Janet Saringer his whole life <br />as well and she was a wonderful person and he was glad to work with her. <br />Director of Finance Copfer: <br />• No Report. <br />
