MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 Present: Council President Jones, Council Members Brossard, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Schumann & Williamson Also Present: Mayor Kennedy, Director of Human Resources Gallo, Director of Law Gareau, Director of Planning & Community Development Lieber and Clerk of Council Massarolo Absent: Director of Finance Copfer Council President Jones called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. The Council Meeting Minutes of September 7, 2021 were approved as written. The following legislation will be considered for passage under suspension of the rules this evening: Second Reading: Resolution 2020-111, Resolution 2021-55 and Ordinance 2021-57; First Reading: Resolution 2021-61. REPORTS Mayor Kennedy: • No Report. Director of Law Gareau: • No Report. Director of Finance Copfer: • No Report. Councilman Brossard Chairman of the Public Safety, Health and Welfare Committee: The Public Safety, Health & Welfare committee met on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. • Discussed first was Ordinance 2021-57. An Ordinance amending and re- establishing Section 505.16 entitled "Vicious and Dangerous Animals" of Chapter Five of the Codified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted in order to adopt and follow State Code procedures for determinations by the Animal Control Officer and to provide for judicial hearings of appeals, and declaring an emergency.
