MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />JUNE 21, 2022 <br />Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hamann, <br />Kelly, Limpert. Scarl and Williamson. <br />Also Present. Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Assistant Director of Law O'Malley and Director <br />of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service <br />Director. Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council <br />and guests. <br />Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover <br />Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of May 4, 2022 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading <br />Resolution 2022-19, and on first reading Ordinance 2022-59 and Resolution 2022-60. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones: <br />• Mayor Jones informed Council that Republic Services will begin providing the residents <br />of North Olmsted with weekly bulk collection services starting on June 30, 2022 at no <br />additional cost to the residents. <br />• Service department crews began flushing fire hydrants in the City yesterday. This will <br />continue throughout the summer. We posted this information on social media and also <br />sent a city-wide text message to alert residents. <br />• The Party in the Park will take place July 30 at North Olmsted Community Park. There <br />will be no beer at this event this year as decided by the North Olmsted Arts Commission. <br />There will be one band. performing from 6-8 p.m., Pet the Cougar, a Tom Petty/John <br />Cougar Mellencamp. <br />• In collaboration with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, the Maple PTA will provide free <br />fresh produce for the North Olmsted community at Maple Intermediate School, 24101 <br />Maple Ridge Road, from 4:30 — 630 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28. <br />• The Oxcart Food Pantry will host a Mobile Produce Pantry at John Knox Presbyterian <br />Church, 25200 Lorain Road. from 2-4 p.m. on Monday.. August 8. Advance registration <br />is required, by calling 440.716.4165, or via the City website. <br />• SilverSneakers at the North Olmsted Senior Center — We will begin offering <br />SilverSneakers, a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of <br />their health by encouraging physical activity. at the North Olmsted Senior Center in early <br />July <br />
