MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED JUNE 21, 2022 Present: Council President Brossard, Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hamann, Kelly, Limpert. Scarl and Williamson. Also Present. Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Assistant Director of Law O'Malley and Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director. Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. Council President Brossard called the meeting to order in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. ANNOUNCEMENTS The Council Meeting Minutes of May 4, 2022 were approved as written. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading Resolution 2022-19, and on first reading Ordinance 2022-59 and Resolution 2022-60. REPORTS Mayor Jones: • Mayor Jones informed Council that Republic Services will begin providing the residents of North Olmsted with weekly bulk collection services starting on June 30, 2022 at no additional cost to the residents. • Service department crews began flushing fire hydrants in the City yesterday. This will continue throughout the summer. We posted this information on social media and also sent a city-wide text message to alert residents. • The Party in the Park will take place July 30 at North Olmsted Community Park. There will be no beer at this event this year as decided by the North Olmsted Arts Commission. There will be one band. performing from 6-8 p.m., Pet the Cougar, a Tom Petty/John Cougar Mellencamp. • In collaboration with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, the Maple PTA will provide free fresh produce for the North Olmsted community at Maple Intermediate School, 24101 Maple Ridge Road, from 4:30 — 630 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28. • The Oxcart Food Pantry will host a Mobile Produce Pantry at John Knox Presbyterian Church, 25200 Lorain Road. from 2-4 p.m. on Monday.. August 8. Advance registration is required, by calling 440.716.4165, or via the City website. • SilverSneakers at the North Olmsted Senior Center — We will begin offering SilverSneakers, a fun, energizing program that helps older adults take greater control of their health by encouraging physical activity. at the North Olmsted Senior Center in early July
