MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />NOVEMBER 1, 2022 <br />Present: Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and <br />Williamson. <br />Also Present. Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance <br />Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, <br />Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. <br />Absent: Council President Brossard <br />Council President Pro -Tem Williamson called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm. in Council <br />Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. <br />Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of <br />Allegiance. <br />Councilwoman Williamson moved to remove Ordinance 2022-106 from the Agenda. The <br />motion was seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed 7-0. <br />Roll Call: <br />Yes'. Williamson, Kelly, Scarl, Limpert, Hamann, Glassburn, Gilchrist <br />No None <br />Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-106 was removed from the Agenda by a vote of 7-0. <br />ANNOUNCEMENTS <br />The Council Meeting Minutes of October 18, 2022 were approved as written. <br />The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading <br />Resolution 2022-94, and on first reading Resolution 2022-100, Ordinance 2022-103, Ordinance <br />2022-104 and Ordinance 2022-107. <br />REPORTS <br />Mayor Jones. <br />• The Mayor met with Dave Conley, Regional Director of External Affairs with the <br />Illuminating Company to give voice to our concerns about the power outages recently at <br />the North Olmsted Recreation Centerand in the Bretton Ridge neighborhood, as well as <br />numerous concerns over street lighting throughout our community, and will keep Council <br />updated on those issues. <br />• The Illuminating Company will be conducting presentations at the Service Garage next <br />Tuesday and Wednesday, November 8 and 9, both beginning at 9 a.m. concerning how <br />to deal with downed electrical wires. <br />• Leaf Pick-up is underway and continues moving west to east throughout North Olmsted. <br />• Yard waste will continue to be picked up through November 25. <br />
