MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED NOVEMBER 1, 2022 Present: Council Members Gilchrist, Glassburn, Hemann, Kelly, Limpert, Scarl and Williamson. Also Present. Mayor Nicole Dailey Jones and Director of Law Gareau and Director of Finance Copfer, H. R. Director, Economic Director, Safety Director, Service Director, Recreation Director, Special Assistant to the Mayor, Clerk of Council and guests. Absent: Council President Brossard Council President Pro -Tem Williamson called the meeting to order at 8:10 pm. in Council Chambers, 5200 Dover Center Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. Members of the audience were invited to join Council in the recitation of the Pledge of Allegiance. Councilwoman Williamson moved to remove Ordinance 2022-106 from the Agenda. The motion was seconded by Councilman Kelly and passed 7-0. Roll Call: Yes'. Williamson, Kelly, Scarl, Limpert, Hamann, Glassburn, Gilchrist No None Motion carried. Ordinance 2022-106 was removed from the Agenda by a vote of 7-0. ANNOUNCEMENTS The Council Meeting Minutes of October 18, 2022 were approved as written. The following legislation was considered for suspension of the rules. On second reading Resolution 2022-94, and on first reading Resolution 2022-100, Ordinance 2022-103, Ordinance 2022-104 and Ordinance 2022-107. REPORTS Mayor Jones. • The Mayor met with Dave Conley, Regional Director of External Affairs with the Illuminating Company to give voice to our concerns about the power outages recently at the North Olmsted Recreation Centerand in the Bretton Ridge neighborhood, as well as numerous concerns over street lighting throughout our community, and will keep Council updated on those issues. • The Illuminating Company will be conducting presentations at the Service Garage next Tuesday and Wednesday, November 8 and 9, both beginning at 9 a.m. concerning how to deal with downed electrical wires. • Leaf Pick-up is underway and continues moving west to east throughout North Olmsted. • Yard waste will continue to be picked up through November 25.
