CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO.2026 - 65 <br />BY: Mayor Jones <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE <br />NO. 2002-103, AS LATER AMENDED BY ORDINANCE NOS. <br />2002-154, 2008-155, 2013-98, 2017-59, AND 2021-26, WHICH <br />COLLECTIVELY ESTABLISHED FEES AND CHARGES FOR <br />EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES RENDERED BY THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FIRE DEPARTMENT, IN <br />ORDER TO INCREASE FEES AND CHARGES CURRENTLY <br />CHARGED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS <br />AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, in 2002 this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2002-103, which, inter alia, <br />established fees and charges for emergency medical services rendered by the North Olmsted Fire <br />Department, and provided for the funds into which revenues received from services rendered to <br />residents as well as non-residents were to be paid; and <br />WHEREAS, later in 2002 this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2002-154, which amended <br />Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2002-103 and established new fees and charges for emergency medical <br />services rendered; and <br />WHEREAS, in 2008, 2013, 2017 and 2021, this Council adopted Ordinance No. 2008- <br />155, 2013-98, 2017-59, and 2021-26, which again amended Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2002-103 <br />and established revised fees and charges for emergency medical services rendered; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Mayor and the Director of Public Safety that <br />fees and charges for emergency medical services be increased; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the recommendation of the <br />Administration, to accordingly amend Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2002-103, as previously <br />amended, to provide for new fees and charges for emergency medical services rendered by the <br />North Olmsted Fire Department. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Section 3 of Ordinance No. 2002-103, as amended most recently by <br />Ordinance No. 2021-26, which currently states as follows: <br />All residents and non-residents receiving emergency medical service and or ambulance <br />transportation shall pay a utilization charge therefore on a per person, per call basis determined as <br />follows: <br />A. ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT II $950.00 <br />
