Spellman <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE RECONSTITUTING <br />THE RECREATION BOARD OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE <br />AND REPEALING ORDINANCES 75-10 AND 1093. <br />WHEREAS, Ordinance 75.=10 provided for the establishment of a <br />Recreation Board in the municipality; and <br />LVHEREAS, Ordinance 1093 approved the Standing Rules for the <br />Recreation Board; and <br />WHEREAS, the Standing Rules of the Recreation Board have now <br />been amended, duly approved and designated as the Standing Rules <br />of the Recreation Board of Mayfield Village, 1980 Revision; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to reconstitute <br />the Recreation Board and consolidate all provisions dealing therewith <br />in one ordinance; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Recreation Board of Mayfield Village is hereby <br />reconstituted and shall have such power and duties as may be prescribed <br />from time-to-time by Council. <br />Section 2. The Recreation Board shall consist of not less than <br />five (5) nor more than eleven (11) residents of the municipality, one <br />of whom shall be designated the Recreation Director and one such <br />member shall be a member of Council. <br />(a) The Recreation Director and the members of the Board <br />shall be appointed for a term of two (2) years by the Mayor, <br />subject to confirmation by a vote of not less than four (4) <br />members of Council. The term of all members now constituting <br />the Recreation Board shall terminate on December 31, 1980. <br />(b) In case the office of Recreation Director or Board Member <br />shall become vacant, the Mayor shall appoint a resident of the <br />municipality to fulfill the unexpired term, subject to the <br />confirmation by a vote of not less than four (4) members of <br />Council. <br />(c) The Mayor may remove the Director or any Board Member <br />for gross misconduct, or malfeasance in or disqualification for <br />office, provided, however, that such removal shall not take <br />place without the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) <br />members of Council.
