Minutes of the Public Hearing dune 23, 1954 -The Counci]: and. the. people of the pillage of Mayfield met at the Village Hall in public hearing .at.8::O0-p. m., on proposed O~di.nance No. I~69, the purpose.of which is .to amend Section. 3.-of Ordinance.. No. 159, the Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Mayfield., .by adding motor bus terminal, motor bus garage, and motor bus.. repair:.shop,as a.-Class U-6_use. N~. Feldner, by leave of Mayor. .Hodgson,. stated that-.the Redifer . Bus Co. intends .to accompl.ish..the above purposes in the-building located on the Weisberg property located-.on.SOM Center--Road,~north of Highland Road, in the Village of Mayfield.. He-stated..that they presently plan to install °a concrete drive through the center.. of .the property to the building. Mr. Feldner showed photographs-of the..building-as-.it.presently appears and altered photographs-showing the ..building as it is: proposed. to be altered. He also stated that the Redifer.Bus_Co. a.t present proposed to sell°that property not needed for its_business purposes for residential purposes. N:tr. Feldner stated that he was prepared .to answer-any questions pertaining to the subject of this public hearing. - , A member of the, audience asked what -part of the business of the Redifer Bus Co. at this location was to .be .comprised-of buying and selling used bases. - - . ~. Feldner answered tYiat only a small percentage of the Company's business was comprised_or. would'be.comprised of buying and selling used .. buses. He explained that this. was..necessary to supplement the income from fares. - ° Mr. Endress asked how many buses .could b e housed in the present building located- on the -property._- proposed..to...be ..purchased by- the Redifer Bus Co. Mr. Feldner stated that the capacity of..the present facilities in Mayfield Heights is such that. only 12. to. 1li,. buses. may. be housed at one time. He also stated -that approximately_ 30. buses: are> used.`by .the . Compaq' in its business at the present time_and of :these approximately 18 are to be kept in the building proposed to be purchased. He also stated that the company plans to, install automatic washers and cleaners within this building. . Mr. Taylor asked whether any eq~pment would be•lef"~-outside the building. Mr. Feldner stated that they..should.not..have to leave any equipment outside. Mr. Endress asked .what .water supply would. be used. Mr. Feldner stated that a geologist had examined the property and had advised him that wells would furn°i.sh.an.ample water supply. He stated that water would be slowly pumped from several valves into a storage tank and, he had been advised that this procedure would not affect. the water table in the surrounding area. 1.
