Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />April 18, 1955 <br />~lJ The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in open meeting at <br />the Town Hall at 8:00 P. M.9 Mayor-Endress presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs S~rans on, Strater, Taylor, Whiting, <br />Beard & Oatess. <br />• Absent - None. - <br />The Minutes of the regular meeting of March 21, 1955, werz read to <br />Council. N.lr. Swanson asked that the sentence stating that the Mayfield - <br />Grange was-,having a home day be changed to read "participating in a home <br />day celebration." It was then moved by Mr. Strater, seconded by N1r. Swanson, <br />that the N~inutes_of.the regular meeting of March 21, 1955, be approved as <br />read and corrected. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson, Strater, Taylor,Whiting,Beard ~ Oatess. <br />_ Nays - None. <br />- -Motion carried <br />I4inutes approved <br />Mayor Endress asked to have the situation of the -three houses on <br />4iTashington Park-Boulevard brought up and at this point it was brought out that <br />~ the School Hoard. had purchased the Mi]1er Development property, which included <br />that portion of Washington Park in question. The Clerk reported that in a <br />conversation with Mr. Russel he understood that no easement had been given <br />before the sale, but that Mr. Russel was to get in touch with ,the property <br />owners and hoped to work out somet'ning in the near future. <br />The County's acceptance of Ridgebury Boulevard was brought up and <br />Njayor Endress reported that he had been in contact with Mayor Elbrecht of <br />Lyndhurst and had a copy of their resolution No. 176 in which their Council <br />requested that Ridgebury Boulevard be accepted as a County Road. He then <br />read a letter from Mayor Elbrecht asking that we take similar action. <br />I'2r. Beard then introduced Resolution No. 279 entitled:' "A Resolution <br />requesting the Board•of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County to Establish <br />Ridgebury Boulevard within this.Vi7.lage as a County Highway and to place the <br />same on the Cuyahoga County System of Highways", which resolution was read to <br />Council. <br />It•was moved by Mr. Swanson, seconded by dlr. Strater, that the rules <br />of -law requ~;ring a x~solution to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended:' - <br />Ro7.1 Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor, ~.ting,Beard & Oatess. <br />- _ Nays - None. _ _ <br />r Motion carried <br />Rules suspended <br />- It was moved by T•2r. Taylor, seconded by I.7r. Oatess, that Resolution <br />No. 279 be adopted as read. <br />1. <br />
