Minutes of the Regular I'teeting May 169 1955 The Council of the ViL age of Mayfield met in open meeting at the Town Iia71 at 8:00 P. M., Mayor Endress presiding® Roll Ca11: Present - T"lessrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,ti~hiting,Beard ~= Oatess. Absent -None. The Minutes of the regul.a.r meeting of April 18th, 1955., were read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Beard, seconded by llr. Taylor, that the minutes of the regular meeting be approved as read. . Roll. Call.: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,inlhiting9Beard ~' Oatess. Nays - TVione . Motion carried Minutes Approved Oran Engineer then presented to Council plans, specifications and an estimate of cost of the construction of a water main. on highland Road in the Village of Mayfield, The estimated cost~was X35,020.009 with an additional sum of ~p39980.00 for overhead, making a total of 4P39,oo0.00® This was to be built on a 60 - ~.0 basis with the Village portion being ~.0~. After considerable discussion by various rr~mbers of Council, Mr. Strater,~ seconded by rlr. Swanson, introduced Resolution No. 282 entitled: "A Resolution Declarsng the Necessity to Improve Highland Road in the Village-of Mayfield, Ohio, from the Westerly Line of the_Vi7la.ge of Mayfield in an Easterly Direction to the Westerly Line of SOM Center Road by the Construction of a Water T°Tain", which ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by T~Zr. Taylor,` seconded by Mr. Oatess, that the rules of law requiring a resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Swanson,Strater,Taylor,Whi.ting,Beard & Oatess. Nays - None. Motion carried Rules Suspended It was moved by Mr. Whiting, seconded by Mr. Strater, that resolution No. 282 be approved and passed as read.
