Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />October 17,.1955 <br />The Council of the Village of 17a.yfield rnet in reg~.ilar meeting <br />at the Village Hall at 8:00 P® NTm, October 17,-1955, Mayor Endres presiding. <br />0]1 Call: Present -Taylor, Strater, Beard, Oatess and Swanson. <br />Absent T°ir• T~1hi'cing. <br />The Minutes of the Regulax i'Ieeting of September 19, 1955, were <br />read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Oatess, seconded by Mr. Swanson, that <br />the Minutes of the.regular° meeting be approved as read. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Beard, Oatess & Swanson. <br />. Nays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />Minutes approved <br />Mr. Endres then asked for a report from the Safety and Service <br />Committee. Mr. Strater, reporting for this committee, said that he had <br />several things to bring up. First, the Committee had studied the moral <br />claim of T°~r® Lorenz, whose automobile was damaged while stopping for our <br />Police Cruiser, and recommended. to Council that they pay the X50.00 deductible <br />on this moral claim, Mr® Beard, seconded by Mr. Strater, then introduced <br />Ordinance No. 523, entitled: "An Ordinance to Pay the .Claim of Rose ~'~ <br />Lorenz", which ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Taylor, <br />seconded by Mr. Strater, that the rules of law requiring an,Ordinance to <br />be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Bear-d, Oatess & Swaazson. <br />iJays -None. <br />Motion carried <br />Rules suspended <br />It was moved by Mr. Beard, seconded by i~r. Strater, that Ordinance <br />No. 523 be approved and passed as read, <br />Roll Call: Ayes -Messrs Taylor, Strater, Beard, Oatess ~ Swanson. <br />Nays -None. <br />Motion carr3:ed <br />Ordinance passed <br />Secondly, l~Tr. Strater read a letter from Mr. Lo Presti, of Norman <br />Lane, c ompla? Wing about the indiscrinunate buriLi.ng of rubbish in his aria, <br />especially in the. evening hours. Mr. Tao Pre~ti wished that some regulation <br />could be obtained. fir. Strater said that the Safety Committee had discussed <br />this but wished to give it further study before making any recommendations. <br />~;% <br />le <br />
