Minutes of~the~Regular Meeting April 20, 1953 The Council of the Village of Mayf field met in regular meeting on the 20th day of April, 1953, at 8:00 P. fl4. at the Mayfield Village Hall, Mayor Gustav Swanson presiding. " Ro11 Call: Present - lillessrs Sloan, Endress, Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. Absent - Dr, Waltz. ° The NLinutes of the regular meeting of I~~Qarch 16, 1953; were read by the Clerk. It was moved by Mrs. Cass, seconded by Mr. Endress, that the fl~[inutes be approved as read, fto11 Call: Ayes - Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass & Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried Minutes Approved. Mayor Swanson advised that the copies of the Regional Dwelling House Code had arrived from The Regional Planning Board. Copies were distributed to various Council members, and a short discussion folloTsred. Mrs. Cass stated that she felt the code should be carefully studied, so that arty' amendments could be made before it was given final approval. There was also contained in a letter information regarding permit fees, and this subject should be discussed tho~s°oughly. Mayor Swanson appointed a committee of three, made up of Mr. Endress,'P~. Oatess, and Mrs. Cass, to study the Code, and present it to the Council for approval. Dr. ZValtz entered the meeting. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by fldr. Scheuring; that the Committee appointed by Mayor Swanson be approved. Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring, Cass & Oatess. Nays - None. Motion Carried Committee Approved Further discussion revealed that the new code calls for a separate permit for each special item pertaining to building,, where our present system calls for just one permit to cover the entire building. The newly appointed committee felt it should have about six weeks for study, but would give a progress report at the next regular meeting, and then if necessary, call a special meeting for final adoption of the Code® Mr. Edelman read a letter of estimate from Iu7r. Gallimore regarding the 8~~ water main for Bonni.eview Road. It will first be necessary to re-locate the roadway before the main can be approved by the City Vdater Department. The estimated cost of this is approximately ~7,300e00. The cost of the . Bonnieview ~a,ter main was estimated at x$17,600.00® 1.
