1 Minutes of the Special Meeting June 22, 1953 The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in special meeting on -the 22nd of June, 1953, a,t the Mayfield Village Hall, at 8 :00 P. :~~I. , Mayor Gustav Swanson presiding. Roll Call: Present - Messrs Waltz, Sloan, Endress,Scheuring, Cass & Oatess. Absent - None. u Dr. McKay was present to present 'to Council the data do the X106,000.00 water main bonds. These bids will be advertised in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, and bids will be opened the next regular meeting night,July 20th, 1953, at 8:15 P. P~. The total assessments on ti~lilson Mills Road is X98, 69t~.57, and on S.O.M. Road, Section No. 1, ~a5,597.80, a total of ~10l.~,292.57. Dr. McKay felt it would be worth while to present these property o~r~ners with a letter giving the amount of their assessment vaith the opportunity to pay cash, thus saving the interest which amounts to about one-third of the total cost over the ten year period. It was decided the Clerk and Solicitor z~ uld draw up a letter to be sent to these property owners. Resolution No. 220 entitled "Resolution Requesting Certificate of Fiscal Officer" was introduced, by Mrs..Cass, seconded by Pdr. Oatess, and read to Council. - It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by Mr. Endress, that the rules of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes - VTaltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. Nays - None® Motion Carried Rules Suspended ~1 II It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by Mr. Scheuring, that Resolution No. 220 be passed. as read. Motion Carried _ Resolution Passed The Clerk then filed her Certificate as to the estimated life of the improvements and the maximum maturity of the bonds pursuant to Resolution ido.. 220. It was moved by Mr. Scheuring, seconded by Mrs. Cass, to accept and file the Clerkts Certificate.
