1 <br />Minutes of the Special Meeting <br />June 22, 1953 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met in special meeting on <br />-the 22nd of June, 1953, a,t the Mayfield Village Hall, at 8 :00 P. :~~I. , Mayor <br />Gustav Swanson presiding. <br />Roll Call: Present - Messrs Waltz, Sloan, Endress,Scheuring, <br />Cass & Oatess. <br />Absent - None. <br />u <br />Dr. McKay was present to present 'to Council the data do the X106,000.00 <br />water main bonds. These bids will be advertised in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, <br />and bids will be opened the next regular meeting night,July 20th, 1953, at <br />8:15 P. P~. The total assessments on ti~lilson Mills Road is X98, 69t~.57, and <br />on S.O.M. Road, Section No. 1, ~a5,597.80, a total of ~10l.~,292.57. Dr. <br />McKay felt it would be worth while to present these property o~r~ners with a <br />letter giving the amount of their assessment vaith the opportunity to pay <br />cash, thus saving the interest which amounts to about one-third of the total <br />cost over the ten year period. It was decided the Clerk and Solicitor z~ uld <br />draw up a letter to be sent to these property owners. <br />Resolution No. 220 entitled "Resolution Requesting Certificate of <br />Fiscal Officer" was introduced, by Mrs..Cass, seconded by Pdr. Oatess, and <br />read to Council. - <br />It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by Mr. Endress, that the rules <br />of law requiring a Resolution to be read on three separate occasions be <br />suspended. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - VTaltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None® <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />~1 <br />II <br />It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by Mr. Scheuring, that Resolution <br />No. 220 be passed. as read. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - ti'Maltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass ~c Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />_ Resolution Passed <br />The Clerk then filed her Certificate as to the estimated life of <br />the improvements and the maximum maturity of the bonds pursuant to Resolution <br />ido.. 220. It was moved by Mr. Scheuring, seconded by Mrs. Cass, to accept <br />and file the Clerkts Certificate. <br />
