1 <br />bti.nutes of Regular Meeting <br />June 15, 1953 <br />The Council of the Village of ~r~ayfield met in regular meeting <br />on the 15th day of June, 1953, .at 8 o~clock P. b2. at the Mayfield Village <br />Hall, Mayor Gustav Swanson presiding._ <br />Roll call: Present-Messrs Waltz, Sloan, Endres, Scheuring, <br />Cass' & Oatess <br />Absent - None. <br />1 <br />In the absence of the Clerk, Mr. Arnold M. Edelman, the Solicitor, <br />was chosen as Acting Clerk for the meeting by~unanimous vote. <br />. The Minutes of the regular meeting of May 18th, 1953, were read <br />by the Acting Clerk. It was moved by Dr. V~altz, seconded by ~°. Endres, <br />that the Minutes be approved as read. <br />Ro11 Call: Ayes - Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mr. Edelman reported that a hearing was recently had before the <br />County Commissioners on our Application requesting the County to pay the <br />cost of straightening Bonnieview Road. Because of the fact that it is <br />not a county road, the Commissioners agreed only to pay the cost of <br />moving the castings. <br />Mayor Swanson read various bids which have been submitted for <br />the straightening of Bonnieview Road. It was moved by Mr. Sloan' seconded <br />by Mrs. Cass, to advertise for bids for the straightening of .Bonni.eview <br />Road. <br />Roll Call: Ayes - Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess. <br />Nays - None. ,. <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Swanson read a Petition from residents of Seneca Road. <br />protesting the unsightly condition of the property at the 'rear of Leppel- <br />meyer~s and Brown Fence Company~s premises. The Petitioners .asked that <br />evergreens be planted to conceal the unsightly condition caused largely <br />by junked automobiles. Mr. Robertson stated that old or wrecked abandoned <br />cars had been brought into. the Village and stored upon the premises in <br />question.. It was moved by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Dr. Waltz, that the <br />Mayor bring the interested parties together in an effort to straighten <br />out the matter. <br />Roll call: Ayes- Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass & Oatess® <br />Nays - None.
