MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO FEBRUARY 29,1962 - 8:09 ~.M. Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council; Henry Caster, Ralph Christman, James Leonard, Dewey Limpert, A.L. Mangani, Lillian Nicholas, Francis J. O'Neill. Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; George Schaaf, Law Director; James T. Wilson, Safety Director; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; William L. Gerlach, Finance Director; and Louise Hall, Clerk. The minutes of the meeting of February 6, 1862 were approved as corrected. The Mayor advised that he had received the following correspondence: From the Council of the City of Cleveland; advising of a meeting of the Council Committee on Cleveland Metropolitan Relations on Wednesday, February 21, 1962 at Cleveland City Hall. Mr. Albert S. Porter, County Engineer will speak. From the Office of Civil Defense with reference to the National Shelter Program. From American Public Works Association with reference to Snow Removal. The communication from the American Public Works Association was turned over to the Safety, Health & Welfare Committee. The Mayor welcomed the Jaycee Wives who were in attendance. The Safety Director advised that there will be a meeting in the near future for all who wish to attend when trophies will be presented to the ~olceme~{~• for expert shooting. The Service Director's request that rates for the North Olmsted Community Cabin be reviewed and revised was turned over to the Public Parks, Property and Recreation Committee. The Service Director's request fbr:~aut:hozify~tb;:ad~ertise for bids fora Back Hoe, with front-end loader, was turned over to the Finance Committee. The Engineer referred the following to the City Planning Committee for study: Plat for Lyndhave~Subdivision which has been approved by the Planning CommihsTdn~. Dedication Plat for Country Club Blvd. The Clerk read the following communications: Letter from the Engineer regarding the Decker Road Storm sewer petition which is now insufficient as two of the property owners requested that their names be removed from the original petition. Letter from the Bus Driver's Committee expressing their appreciation of Council's cooperation on their request for a wage increase. A bill from the Regional Planning Commission for North Olmsted's membership in the Commission for 1962 in the amount of $910.00. - The bill from the Regional Planning Commission was turned over to the Finance Committee. Mr. M. Scanlon, attorney, appeared before Council representing Mr. & Mrs. L. Zoldessy, 26751 Lorain Rd. concerning the proposed road next to their property to connect Lorain St. with Great Northern Bled. He was advised that this matter should be taken up with the Planning Commission. Mr. O'Neill moved, seconded by Mr. Leonard, that on the recommendation of the Committee on Appointments, Council approve the following appointments as submittd by the Mayor:
