JANUARY 28, 1958 <br />MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING OF THE COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLA'LSTED <br />Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor, Ralph A. Haselton, President of Council, <br />J. Hinkel, S. Hinson, W. Kramer, Mrs. Lynch, Bruce MacDonald, F. O'Neill, and <br />J. Wilson. James F. Votava, Safety-Service Director was absent. <br />Also present were C. J. Oviatt, Solicitor; and E. M. Christman, Clerk. <br />Ordinance No. 2619, an ordinance creating the office of Safety Director, <br />and providing compensation therefor, and declaring an emergency, was given <br />its third reading. It was moved by Mr. Hinkel, seconded by Mr. Wilson, <br />the ordinance be adopted as read. "Yeas" Hinkel, Hixson, Lynch, O'Neill, <br />Wilson. "Nay" Kramer, MacDonald. <br />Ordinance No. 2621 was introduced by Mr. Hinson. An ordinance providing <br />for part-time secretary for and to assist the Solicitor for the City of <br />North Olmsted, and providing compensation therefor, and declaring an <br />emergency. It was moved by Mr. Hinson, seconded by Mr. Kramer, that the <br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read inunediately the second <br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion <br />was as followss Hinkel, Hinson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon <br />its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, <br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2622 was introduced by Mr. Hinkel. An ordinance repealing <br />Ordinance No. 261$ enacted the 7th day oY January, 1958, and being an ordinance <br />providing for subsistence allowance to Police Officers of ~5.~ per day, to <br />permit tax benefits to said Police Officers provided by section 120 of the 1954 <br />Internal Revenue Code, and declaring an emergency. It was moved by Mr. Hinkel, <br />seconded by Mr. Kramer, that the statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance <br />be read immediately the second and third times and put on its passage. The <br />affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hinson, Kramer, Lynch, <br />MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and <br />third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as <br />follows: Hinkel, Hinson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2623 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An ordinance consenting <br />to the maintenance and repair of certain streets and roads by the Board of <br />County Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio. It was moved by Mr. Kramer, <br />seconded by Mr. MacDonald, that the statutory rule be suspended and the <br />ordinance be read immediately the second and third times and put on its <br />passage. The affirmative vote on said motion was as follows: Hinkel, Hinson, <br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. Thereupon, the ordinance was read <br />the second and third times and put upon its passage and the affirmative vote <br />thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hinson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, <br />Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2624 was introduced by Mr. MacDonald, An ordinance authorizing <br />and directing the cancellation of special aasess~nts on permanent parcel No. <br />234-16-3 on Barton Road in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. It was moved by Mr. MacDonald, seconded by Mr. Kramer, that the <br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second <br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion <br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hixson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third times and put upon <br />its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hinson, <br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Ordinance No. 2625 was introduced by Mr. Kramer. An ordinance authorizing <br />and directing cancellation of special assessments on permanent parcel No. <br />231_27_7 on Lessner Road in the City of North Olmsted, and declaring an <br />emergency. It was moved by Mr. Kramer, seconded by Mr. Wilson, that the <br />statutory rule be suspended and the ordinance be read immediately the second <br />and third times and put on its passage. The affirmative vote on said motion <br />was as follows: Hinkel, Hinson, Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />Thereupon, the ordinance was read the second and third tunes and put upon <br />its passage and the affirmative vote thereon was as follows: Hinkel, Hinson, <br />Kramer, Lynch, MacDonald, O'Neill, Wilson. <br />
