? " MINUTES OF THE MEE7ING OF 7'HE COUNCIL T'HE CI TY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHI O JANUARY 15, 1963 - 8:10 P.M. Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council.; Henry Caster, Ratph Christman, James Leonard, Francis J. 0'Weill, Dewey Limpertp Norman Van Zandt. _ Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; .lames T. Wilsony Safety Director; George Schaaf, Law Director; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; Wilaiam Gerlach, Finance Director; and Louise Hall, Clerk. Absent: A.L. Mangani. The minutes of the meeting of January 2, 1963 were approved as written. The minutes of the meeting of January 4, 1963 were approved as corrected. The Mayor proclaimed the week of January 20th through Jenuary 26, 1963 as JAYCEE WEEK. The Mayor advised that the appointments he made at the Council Meeting of January 2, 1963 were in,error and that the appointmerits should be as foltows: Anthony LaPonza - Planning Commission Edward Beyer - Zoning Board of Appe:als The Mayor read a report from the Turnpike Commission on the traffic count for Inter- change No, g for the year 1962. The Safety Director requested authority to acivertise for another pollce car when he advertises for the police car he has alrezady been authorized to. The Service Director advised that he would have a yearly report for the next meeting. The Engineer requested the City Planning Comrnittee to take under consederation whether apartment site develbpments should be serviced by dedicated streets or private drives. The Clerk read the following correspondence: 1. A letter from the Greater Cleveland Chapter of the American Red Cross expressing appreciation for the Resolution commending IZed Cross for its effort in extending help to tr+3velersstranded on Lorain Road during the recent snow storm. 2. A letter from the North Olmsted Planning Commission approving Ordinances No. 62-203,204,205, 225 and 226 and rejecting the proposal for a private drive for an apartment development located on the south side of Lorain Road between Fleharty and Columbia Road. 3. A letter from Mr. S.S. Biskind in regards to West Park Estates Subdivision advising that he will not install sidewalks on West Park Drive. Mr. J. Hoislbauer, developer of Beverly Hills Estates Subdivision, requested approvel of Council for a temporary package treatment plant for 15 homes in his subdivision.
