Gareau, Mayor; Bruce MacDonald, President of Council.; Henry <br />Caster, Ratph Christman, James Leonard, Francis J. 0'Weill, Dewey Limpertp Norman <br />Van Zandt. _ <br />Also present were Lloyd E. Barnes, Service Director; .lames T. Wilsony Safety <br />Director; George Schaaf, Law Director; Alex Kanareff, Engineer; Wilaiam Gerlach, <br />Finance Director; and Louise Hall, Clerk. <br />Absent: A.L. Mangani. <br />The minutes of the meeting of January 2, 1963 were approved as written. <br />The minutes of the meeting of January 4, 1963 were approved as corrected. <br />The Mayor proclaimed the week of January 20th through Jenuary 26, 1963 as JAYCEE <br />WEEK. <br />The Mayor advised that the appointments he made at the Council Meeting of January <br />2, 1963 were in,error and that the appointmerits should be as foltows: <br />Anthony LaPonza - Planning Commission <br />Edward Beyer - Zoning Board of Appe:als <br />The Mayor read a report from the Turnpike Commission on the traffic count for Inter- <br />change No, g for the year 1962. <br />The Safety Director requested authority to acivertise for another pollce car when <br />he advertises for the police car he has alrezady been authorized to. <br />The Service Director advised that he would have a yearly report for the next meeting. <br />The Engineer requested the City Planning Comrnittee to take under consederation <br />whether apartment site develbpments should be serviced by dedicated streets or <br />private drives. <br />The Clerk read the following correspondence: <br />1. A letter from the Greater Cleveland Chapter of <br />the American Red Cross expressing appreciation <br />for the Resolution commending IZed Cross for its <br />effort in extending help to tr+3velersstranded <br />on Lorain Road during the recent snow storm. <br />2. A letter from the North Olmsted Planning Commission <br />approving Ordinances No. 62-203,204,205, 225 and 226 <br />and rejecting the proposal for a private drive for <br />an apartment development located on the south side <br />of Lorain Road between Fleharty and Columbia Road. <br />3. A letter from Mr. S.S. Biskind in regards to West <br />Park Estates Subdivision advising that he will not <br />install sidewalks on West Park Drive. <br />Mr. J. Hoislbauer, developer of Beverly Hills Estates Subdivision, requested approvel <br />of Council for a temporary package treatment plant for 15 homes in his subdivision. <br />
