MINUTES OF THE MEETING QF THE COUNCIL <br />THE CiTY OF NORTH QLINSTED, ONIO <br />MAY 8, 1963 - 8:10 PoM, <br />Present were Paul J. Gareau, Mayor; Dewey H, Limpert, President Pro Tem of Council; <br />Henry Caster, Ralph Christman, James Leonard, A.L. Mangani, Francis J. 0'Neill, <br />Norman Van Zandt. <br />Also present were L. Barnes, Service Director; George. Schaaf, Law Director; William <br />Gerlach, Finance Director; James T.,. Wilson, Safe.ty Director, and Louise Hall, Clerk. <br />Absent: Bruce MacDonald, President of Council and Alex Kanareff, Engineero <br />The minutes of the meeting of April 16, 1963 were approved as written. <br />The proclaimed the following: <br />CLEAN UP WEEK - May ilth through 19th <br />ALL SCOUTS DAY - June 8th <br />WELFARE FEDERA710N WEEK - May ]9th through May 25th <br />REALTOR WEEK - May 12th throuqh May 18th <br />The Safety Director advised that bids were awarded for an International Ambulance <br />and two Ford Police Cars. <br />The Clerk read a communication from Doris Lester, 4527 Canterbury Rd., pertaining <br />to the rezoning of the Par 3 property. <br />. <br />Mr. W. Reis, 4429 Canterbury, spoke for the resedents of the area and advised that <br />they are agai nst the rezoni ng of the Par 3 piropgrty, <br />, <br />Mr. 0'Neill advised that another meeting is scheduled with the Fairview Park City <br />Officials concerning the Bus franchise for M<3y 13, 1963 at 8:00 P.M. and requested <br />everyone to attend as only Mr. 6erlach and Mr, 0'Neill attended the meeting of <br />Aprit 29, 1963• <br />Mr. Caster advised that the Finance Committee recommends the adjustment in the <br />wage scale for the Service Department employees as requested by the Service Director <br />be approved and that Ordinance 62-131 be amended to include this wage adjustment. <br />Mr. Christman advised that the Public Development and Service Committee recommends <br />approval of the improvement plans for Rose Tree Subdivision No. 1. <br />Mr. Christman recommended that the ordinance pa-epared for this meeting establishing <br />a connection charge for parcels lying to the east of the Varady Subidivision be <br />approved. <br />Mr. Christman advised that the Committee recommends that the City negotiate with <br />owners of property on the west side of Dover Rd. foc dedication of 10 ft. of their <br />property in return for the City assuming half of the sidewalk assessment. <br />Mr. Christman advised that the Committee rec.ommends the release of the sidewajk bond <br />on Olmsted Colony Subdivision No. 3, Spruce Drive, as recommended by the City Engineer. <br />The Clerk read a communication from the City Engineer recommending release of the <br />sidewalk bond on Olmsted Colony Subdivision No. 3, Spruce Drive. <br />
