G'Neill; <br />Henry Caster; Carroll Eian; Jack Foltz; Virginia Hodgins; Dewey Limpert; <br />A. L. Mangani; John Westo <br />Also present: J. Bruce Kitchen, Law Director; W. L. Gerlach, Finance Director; <br />Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City Engineer; Margaret <br />West, Clerk. <br />Minutes of the meeting of May 17, 1966 were read and approved as r-eadm <br />Mayor Christman proclaimed June Ilth as AIl Scoutst Day, and June 15th as Ru+h <br />Helt Day. June 15th is the date of the testimonial dinner to honar Mrs. He!+. <br />Safety-Service Director Limpert reported that they are trying cut a 25-yar-d <br />packer-type truck this week, which replaces two trucks and requires fihree iess <br />men. They are keeping track of tonnage and labor costs for comparison. <br />City Engineer Labas advised that status report No. 2 has been sent to ali of <br />Council, and he briefly reviewed the contents. He is presently inspecting <br />sidewalks constructed by the City in 1964 and 1965, and asked that ±he councilmen <br />report any deficiencies which they might note to him before next Council meetingo <br />He also reported that plans are on file for the Dover and Kennedy Ridge sidewa9ks, <br />Mayor Christman reported receipt of a petition from property owners in Park Ridge <br />Subdivision, addressed to the Mayor and Members of the School Board, protesting <br />use of Sherwood Drive as an entrance to the new school. He advised that he had <br />passed the petition on to the Superintendent af Schools. <br />Mr. Kitchen, Law Director, reported that a favorable decision had been received <br />in the library case, and Mr. Gerlach is now ordered to certify the bonds to the <br />County Auditor, <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman af the Liquor Control Committee, read a communication <br />received from the State Board of Liquor Control acknowledging receipt of our <br />ordinance and letters opposing the liquor applications in the name of Riveredye <br />Apartments, Inc. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of the Public Service and Utilities Committee, alsa referred <br />to a letter received from Mr. Singer relative to our incinerator study, <br />Mro Caster, Chairman of Municipal Development Committee, reported that they met <br />with residents of Southern Avenue and two representatives from the State Highway <br />Department on June Ist.
