+ f, <br />MINUTES OF MEETING UF THE COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />May 4, 1966 <br />8:12 P.M. <br />Present: Mayor Ralph E. Christman; President of Council Francis J. U'Neill; <br />Henry Caster; Jack Foltz; Virginia Hodgins; Dewey Limpert; John West. <br />Also present: W. L. Gerlacn, rinance Director; Richard Labas, City Engineer; <br />D. E. Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Margaret West, Clerk. <br />Absent: Carroll Eian; A. L. Mangani. <br />Minutes of the meeting of April 19, 1966 were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported that he had received an estimate from the Cleveland <br />Electric Illuminating Company for the cost of street lighting throughout the <br />entire city, and he requested a meeting with the Public Service and Utilities <br />Committee for a discussion. <br />The Mayor also announced that he was issuing a proclamatlon designating the morith <br />of May as Green Cross Safety Month, <br />Safety-Service Director D. E. Limpert submitted a written report to Council. He <br />also requested that the legislation to be drawn on the removal of waste or rubbish <br />restricted to city also contain the words "unless authorized by the Safety Service <br />Directorl, at the end so that the City would have authority to give permission for <br />outside pickups. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of the Liquor Control and Public Service and Utilities <br />Commfttees, reported that they both held short meetings, and legislation requests <br />would be entered under New Business. <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of the Municipal Development Committee, reported that they <br />discussed City Line Subdivisions No. 2 and 3 improvement plans, and will ask for- <br />legislation accepting them, with the following changes to be made: that a per- <br />manent easement be shown for future water and sanitary sewers, and that the plat <br />be changed to reflect this; that the sanitary sewer connection be brought under <br />the street to the south side of Glenwood Drive to the property ?ine ; that the <br />titles be revised to show that the plans apply to City Line #2 and #3. It was <br />also recommended that the City do the necessary ditch cleaning to give good <br />drainage from the start of the open ditch to an area west of Barton Road, as <br />shown on the plans, with the developer paving the invert or box culvert under <br />Barton Road. <br />Mr. Foltz, Chairman of the Legislative Committee reported that at their last meet- <br />ing they discussed the Municipal Bus Line and organizational chart. They recommend <br />that the top position be Superintendent of Bus Line. Directiy under him would be <br />two categories, Assistant Superintendent of Operations and Assistant Superintendent <br />of Maintenance. Legislation will be requestEd. They have also asked the Safety- <br />Service Director to check on the number of permits issued to oversize vehicles <br />AOV*
