A meefinq was ar3anged <br />between one of the property owners and a developer inferested in tne area, <br />and it is hoped that somethinq wilP be fc,rthcaminq. <br />Mayor Christman reported that a11 but ibboiat ten property owr,ers have siqned <br />easements for the right of way on the wesl- side of Dover Center Road, and <br />by the end of the week ali but one or rtwo wi(f have been obtaineti. <br />The Safet-y-Service Director asked -that feg'islation be considered i-o enab;e <br />the poiice to have cars in no parkinq areas towed away. The matfier was <br />referred to the Leqis{ative Commfttee and the Safety Commitfiee for- study. <br />Mr. Labas reported that the deveioper of Deerpath No. 4 had requesfied tha+ <br />he be reiieved of the planting of trees on West 237th, s')nce there are pre- <br />sentiy an excess of trees in this area. rhe Engineer does not object 1-o the <br />grantinq of the request, and asked Cauncil to consider the mafter. it was <br />referred to the Municipal Developmenf Committee, <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commitfiee, r-eported thart ar <br />their meering on February 26th, a discussion was held on fihe desirability <br />of ha?;r i ng the Eng i neer prepare a report on i nc ? nerator-s at th i s-t ? me. Mr. <br />Labas indicated that it wouid take two or three months, and the committee <br />decided to postpone the Engineer's report, untiV Apri°r Rst, and meanwhl?e <br />to set up dates to talk to sales representatives. <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of Municipai-Development, reported on their meeting head <br />: February 22nd, with Mr. DiBenedetto, deveYoper of Sandy Ridge #2, art which 4ey <br />d•iscussed the possibilifiy of other developers sharing in the cost of ditches <br />or canyons which must be dug for drainage pur•poses. The matter 'is n commir-tee <br />for further consideration, and study of an ordinance covering such a situatlor, <br />which is in effiect in Parmau <br />The committee agreed with the Enqineer's recommendatlons in connection wtth <br />approval of the improvement plans on Sandy Ridge #2, which were to lower the <br />storm sewer from Chapel Drive to Canterbury and Park Place to Canterbury, <br />at a cost of approximately $90 per street; to show the reserve lats; to show <br />0
