L. Manqani <br />Also present: W. L. Gerlach, Finance Director; J. Bruce Kltchen, Law Qirector; <br />Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Marqaret West, Clerk. <br />Minutes of the meetinq of February 6, 1966 were approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman reported Ihat February 14 to February 23rd has been designated as <br />Operation LAMP - Let's Aid Mental Patients - and the Fire Stations wiil be <br />collection stations for donations of games, paperbdak books, playinq cards and <br />other recreational items for the use of inental patienfis in hospitaPs throughout <br />the County. <br />Safety-Service Qirector Limpert asked for Council authorization to advertise <br />for bids for gas and diesel fuel and lubricating oil. He also announced that <br />Council is invited to qo on a tour of the Lakewood Incinerator on Saturday <br />morning. Those interested are asked to meet at City Hall at 9;45 A.M. for <br />the trip. <br />Mrs. Hodqins, Chairman of the Pubiic Service and Utilities Commi -htee, reported <br />on their meeting of February 3rd regarding incinerators. They will request <br />that the Safety-Service Director be authorized to have the City Engineer make <br />a study of incineration for North Olmsted. <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of the Municipal Development Committee, reported no meetings <br />have been held, but that legislation will be requested on dedicai'ions which the <br />Engineer has advised are now completed. <br />Mr. Fol1-z, Chairman of the Leqislative Committee, submitted a report on the <br />various complaints received with regard to the operation of the self-service <br />auto wash. The committee recommends that the hours durinq which the establish- <br />ment can be open be limited to 6;00 A.M. to 10;00 P.M., with the requirement <br />that an attendant be on duty from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 P.M. to keep control of <br />the traffic waiting to use the wash, etc. They w111 ask fhat legislation be <br />prepared covering these recommendations. <br />Mr. Limpert, Chairman of the Transportation Committee, reported on their meet- <br />ing of February 9. A review of chargeable accidents indicates that definite <br />bus stops should be set up, signs posted, e-Fc. stating that there will be no <br />discharge or pick-up of passengers unless at authorized stops. They also <br />reviewed the rules on chargeable accidents, as to driver awards, and are <br />arranqing for a safety board to be ins#alled in the bus office, giving the <br />safety status of each driver, amount, location and type of accidents, etc. <br />Repairs and maintenance procedures are also being studied. <br />
