L. Gerlach, Financp airector; J. Bruce Kitchen, Law Director; <br />Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City Engineer; Marqaret <br />West, Clerk. <br />Absent: Mayor Ralph E. Christman <br />Mr. Caster movEd that the Clerk of Council, Margaret West, be reappointed to <br />serve for the next two years. Motion was seGondad by Mr. Mangani. Affirmative <br />vote was Caster, Eian, Foltz, Hodgins, 4impert, Mangani, West. <br />The minutes of the meeting of Decembsr 21st were corrected on Page 8, by insert- <br />ing the following between the paragraph on Resolution No. 65-315 and the paragraph <br />on Resolution No. 65-316: <br />"Ordinance No. 65-316 was infi roducQo by Mr. Caster. An Qrdinance determining <br />Resident Accessory Parkinq Facilittes fpr the Buildings 5erved, and declaring <br />an emergency. Mr. Caster mqved fqr suspension of the rule requiring three <br />readings, seconded by Mr. Mangani. Affirmative vote was Ca$ter, Foltz, Hodgins, <br />Lennard, Limpert, Mangani, Wsst. Mr. Cas-her moved for adoption, seconded by <br />Mr. Mangani. After some dfsGussioh,and upon advice from the Law Director, the <br />motions and seconds were withdrawn, the proposed legislatian was referred back <br />? into committee for further study, and No. 65-316 was assiqned to ano-ther <br />piece of leqislation." <br />The minutes were then approved as cprrected. <br />Safety-Service Director Limpert referred Councii to the reports from the Police, <br />Fire and Building Departments. He further requested Council's authorization <br />for the purchase of a packer-type truck for garbage, a 20,yard unjt, to cost <br />between $12,000 and $14,000. <br />Mr. Caster reported the Public Service and Development Committee met on <br />December 28, 1965, with the Gity Engineer and the Law Direcfior. They recom- <br />mend that the entire relocated portion of the east-west ditch in the City-Line <br />Subdivision be culverted, anO -Fhe committ¢e so informed Mr. Andreano, represen- <br />tative of City-Line, asking that they submit a proposal as to what portion <br />they would culvert at their expense, and what portion they would expect the <br />C i ty to p i ck up u nd6'r tt1e, fisrmt 6f tfi6 P Icit-h i hq 'Ond tnance . <br />Mr. Caster then read the reply received from Mr. Andreano which proposed that <br />they would furnish 1060 linear feet of 72" C.M.P.
