, <br />MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF THE COUNCIL <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO <br />June 1, 1965 <br />Present: Mayor Ralph Christman; President of Council Francis J. 0'Neill; <br />Henry Caster; Jack Foltz; Virginia Aodgins; James Leonard; Dewey Limpert; <br />A. L. Mangani; John West. <br />Alsp present: J. Bruce Kitchen, Director of Law; W. L. Gerlach, Director of <br />Finance; Del Limpert, Safety-Service Director; Richard Labas, City Ehgineer; <br />Margaret West, Clerk. <br />Minutes of the meeting of May 18th, 1965 were approved as read, <br />Mayor Chriatman reported that the first annual report of the City of North <br />Olmsted will not be mailed out to every resident as was first planned. When <br />completed, copies will be availsble at Home Coming and at City Hall. <br />Mayor Christman turned over to the Public Service and Development Committee <br />plans for access at Zayre's. They are willing to pay for the enttre cost of <br />the improvement. It will require a reaolution by Council requesting the <br />State to grant access to Brookpark. <br />Safety-Service Director Limpert referred an ordinance regarding surface drainage <br />which he had from another community,to the Public Service and Development Cam- <br />mittee, with the request that they go over it. <br />He requeated the Safety Cotmaittee to atudy a no-parking ban on Lorain from Clague <br />west on Lorain to the weat line of Stutz' grocery. This is a high accident area <br />and he would like to eliminate some of the hazard. <br />Safety-SErvice Director Limpert also requested that the Finance Committee study <br />the posabil ity of buying two new pol ice cars. <br />City Engineer Labas f urnished Council with copies of his Project Status Report <br />No. 2. <br />Finance Director Gerlach reported receipt of bids for the sale of bonds in the <br />amount of $62,400 to buy two properties immediately adjacent to City Hall for <br />expansion purposes. Magnus & Co, of Cincinnati was the low bidder with an <br />interest rate of 3J9?a and a premium of $463. An ordinance far accepting this <br />bid is before Council, and he recommended that it be accepted. <br />Mrs. Hodgins, Chairman of the Safety Committee, reported that nothing was re- <br />solved at thei,r meeting of April 27th, and another meeting will be scheduled. <br />ahe requested that the Clerk furnish all members of Council with copies of the <br />report f rom the County Board of Health which she had received. <br />Mr. West, Ghairman, Finance Comnittee, reported that at their meeting on May 24th <br />they completed the hearings on pay adjustmenta f or city employees. They have now <br />met with representatives of all employees'and have their proposals. The comaittee <br />will meet on Thursday, June 3 at 7:30 to review the proposals as made, and make <br />f inal decisions. Any interested members of Council are invited to attend. <br />
