\ <br />A?? <br />t1 <br />?) <br />j <br />9 <br />MI NUTES OF THE MEETI NG OF THE COUNCI L <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />MARCH 5, 1968 <br />Presente President of Council Francis J. 0'Neiil, Councilmen Caster, <br />Hodgins, Limpert, Miller, Prokasy, West. <br />Also Present: Mayor Ralph Christman, Finance Director William Gerlach, <br />Law Director J. Bruce Kitchen, City Engineer Frank Dutton, <br />Clerk of Council Florence Holm. <br />Absent: Councilman Carroll Eian. <br />The minutes of the February 6th meeting were approved as corrected. On <br />page 4 of minutes, a sentence is to be added: "Copies of Ordinance No. <br />68-31 are to be given to the Planning Commission members to look over <br />and to give their suggestions or approval to same." <br />Mayor Christman requested Council to give their approval of George Schaaf <br />as Income Tax Administrator. <br />City Engineer Dutton asked if there were any questions on his department's <br />monthly report. <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of Appointments, Industrial Development and Municipal <br />Development Committees, said the Appointment Committee would like to move <br />that Council accept the appointment of George Schaaf as Income Tax Admin- <br />istrator. Mr. Prokasy seconded motion. "Yeas" Caster, Hodgins, Limpert, <br />Miller, Prokasy, West. <br />Mr. Caster said Municipal Development Committee had met on February 27th. <br />They discussed the storm sewer plans as submitted by Floyd-Browne, and the <br />cost estimate, but at this date have not had a chance to study it. This <br />will be further discussed at next meeting. The sanitary sewer lateral <br />costs are still pending, awaiting more information from City Engineer <br />Dutton. Committee will ask for legislation for the paving portion of <br />Great Northern Boulevard, final assessments for Sherwood Culvert, and <br />also assessments for sewer and paving, Birch Lane Sub-division and sirch <br />S choo 1 . <br />Mr. Miller, Chairman of Legislative Committee, said there would be a meet- <br />ing of this committee Tuesday, March 12th, at 9:00 p.m. <br />Mr. Prokasy, Chairman of Design and Platting and Public Parks, Property <br />and Recreation Committees, mentioned that the Design and Platting Com- <br />mittee had met on February 27th on the Jamestown Rezoning Proposal, but <br />at that time had no firm agreement for widening of Columbia Road by Devel- <br />opers. Since then Committee has received plans from Developers and will <br />proceed with the second reading of Ordinance No. 68-31. Planning Com- <br />mission has given their approval also. Committee is also considering <br />Regional Planning Commission's recommendation regarding changing Retail <br />Zoning Code. <br />Mr. Prokasy, <br />mentioned Re <br />back parcels <br />off the site <br />ing studied. <br />'A <br />as Chairman of Public Parks, Property & Recreation Committee, <br />::reation Commission's request regarding acquisition of two <br />of land on west side of Spruce School site in order to square <br />and make it more usable for recreation purposes.
