Bruce Kitchen, City Engineer Frank Dutton and Clerk <br />of Council Florence Holm. <br />Abserat: Counci 3man Eian and Mi l ler. <br />hlinutes a:F meeting of January 2nd approved as read. <br />Mayor Christman submitted following names for various boards and commissionse <br />Ceval Servace Commission - Anthony Klemer (term ending 12-31-731; Board of Zoning <br />AQpeals - Lindberg Forcellini (term ending 12-31-72); Planning Commission - James <br />L. Leonard (term ending 12-31-72) and E. W. Byers to replace James Prokasy (term <br />ending 12-31-70); Board of Building Code Appeats for reappointment, A1 Dansberg, <br />(term ending 12-31-72); and Recreation Commission - reappointment of Albert Koontz <br />(te+-m ending 12-31-72), <br />6Mayor Christman said he had secured the Haddad property for $9,000.00, and the <br />Finance Director is arranging for note ordinance. <br />Yhe htayor al so commented on fol lowi ng o the f i rst meet i ng of the North Olmsted <br />hlusical Festival to be held on Wednesday, January 24th, when program for 1968 <br />will be discussed. Arrangements have been rnade for a meeting on January 19th <br />between Congressrnan Minshall's office, the Reverend Ward Potts and Dick Cronin <br />to dsscuss possible Federal Aid for "BUS STOP." Also of the interest shown by <br />youths in City in the operation of small go-carts. Saul Biskind has been con- <br />tacted and there's a possibility of a club being formed to run these go-carts <br />en the Shopping Center parking lot Sunday afternoons. Mayor mentioned City had <br />receeved three bids for 1929 Seagraves Fire Engine. Highest bid $802.00e How- <br />ever, the North Olmsted Historical Society indicated they would be glad to ac- <br />cept the Fare Engine as a gift and build an appropriate building to store and <br />protect it. He recornmends that we reject all bids for Fire Engine and donate <br />ct to Historfical Society as a museum piece. The City is also the proud possessor <br />of a horse-drawn hearse which is now housed at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, and Mayor <br />recommends that this hearse be donated to the Historical Societyo T hey would <br />build a protective building for the hearse. He thinks that in the terms of agree- <br />merat it should be stated that if the Historical Society ever disbanded, titles to <br />both the F ire Engine and the Hearse should be returned to City. The Mayor also <br />mentioned that the Annual Boy Scout Fund Drive will be held March 2nd, and as <br />Chasrman for North Olmsted, he will rely on Councilmen for help on this worthwhile <br />driveo <br />Safety-Servece Director Del Limpert mentioned the 1967 Dog Warden Activities Report <br />wtaech yists a total of 1,135 calls. Mr. Limpert feels the Dog Warden's salary <br />should be encreased. He also expressed the need for a 3/4 to 1-ton four-wheel drive <br />truck, and a new snow plow with reversible angle for cleaning cul-de-sacs, dead-end <br />streets and intersections. He has submitted these and other requests to Council in <br />vdratong today. President 0'Neill asked Chairman of Finance Committee, Mr. West, to <br />taEce these requests into consideration. <br />
