Bruce Kitchen!, Finance Director W. L. Gerlach; <br />Safetv-Service Dbrector D. E. Limpert; City Engineer Frank Dutton; <br />Clerk of Council Margaret West. <br />Absente Mayor Ralph Christman <br />Minutes of the meeting of January 17th were approved as read. Minutes of the <br />special meeting of Tanuary 31st were approved as read. <br />P'resident O'Neill announced that Mayor Christman's absence was due to the death <br />of his mother. <br />Safety-Service Director Limpert ca11ed attention to the police activities report <br />as eompaz°ed with last vear. <br />Mr. Caster, Chairman of the Municipa1 Development Committee, reported on their <br />meeting held January 31st, at which they discussed pendinQ items. Most were <br />? turned over to the City Enginesr for review, The Consent Ordinance to the State <br />of Ohio for I-80 has been reviewed by the Engineer, but no report has yet been <br />;?ritten. 1.4.r. Caster announced that at the next regular council meeting, Council <br />will act as a Board of Equalization and hear the objection of Mr. Berkheimer to <br />the side*aalk assessment on Porter Road. He also reported that the Equalization <br />Board an the Great Pdorthern Boulevard, proposed, improvements met on February 6th. <br />Mr. Foltz, Chairman of the Zegislative Committee, reported they met with the <br />Finance Committee in a joint meeting on_F"ebruary 6th. In attendance T,oere Mrs. <br />HodQins, Mr. Limpert, Mr. West, Mr. Caster, Safety-Service Director Del Limpert, <br />and Cit•? Er:nineer Frank Dutton. The joint committees agreed that legislation be <br />nrepared ro establish individual tables of organization for the following depart- <br />?ie:ts: Administrationr Citv Councila Finance Department, Law Department: Fire <br />Benartment: Police Departmento Eac:h table includes the number of employees in <br />each category. The only department remainint; is the Bus, and this will be <br />resolved at the next joirn.meetinQ of the committees. <br />:Mt. Limnert, Chairman of the TranspoYtation Committee, reported on their meeting <br />at P,ahicl: the possibility of fare ir.creases to cover a deficit were discussed. It <br />is almast certain they wi11 have to consider a fare increase on school passes. <br />They wili be meetinR again to further discuss this. <br />Mr. Eiar_, Chairman of the Saf.ety, Health and Welfare Committee, reported on the <br />a11-council meeting on blasting held on January 23, 1967 at which Dr. Edward W. <br />?
